Case Study: The Leland Family Exercise

Attendees of the Wealth Management program will be introduced to Paul Leland, a technology entrepreneur who recently sold his company. He lives with his wife, Sarah, in Palo Alto, and they have two young children. Through role playing and a variety of case studies, attendees will confront the primary investing challenge that this family is facing, the development of an investment policy and its implementation through the construction of the portfolio. Attendees will also help Paul evaluate the impact the money may have on his values and lifestyle and help him define his overall goal for his wealth: to spend it, leave it, or give it away.
