How will the smartest families rise to the challenge of wealth in transition?

The Private Wealth Management Program will be held on:
• August 13-18, 2006
• November 12-17, 2006

(Note: This particular program is for investors only. Information on the Private Wealth Management Program Professional Track for family office executives and professionals in investment, marketing, servicing, legal and accounting can be found by clicking here.)

Wealth in transition comes to families in many forms. It may arrive predictably, or suddenly. Preparedness is a major concern for all families with substantial assets.

Many families find that investment decisions are difficult to make, especially after a family has sold a business or when younger family members are first asked to help make decisions about a family's portfolio. Few resources have been available to help families meet the complex challenge of wealth management education. In response to this need, Wharton and the Institute for Private Investors have developed a way for the next generation to gain the foundation of knowledge necessary to oversee substantial private wealth. In collaboration with the Institute for Private Investors, The Wharton School offers Private Wealth Management, a five-day residential program held twice annually at the University of Pennsylvania.

The program which was designed for the Institute, allows participants to increase their depth of knowledge in key areas of wealth management, while having the unusual opportunity to meet and work with others, like themselves, who are part of a family with substantial assets. The case study for the program will be directly related to private wealth management issues.

Since the program tends to reach capacity quickly, we encourage you to complete the nomination form as early as possible. A wait list will be compiled for late candidate applications. We welcome the opportunity to discuss how the curriculum might be relevant to your family’s interest and invite you to visit Wharton’s web site executiveeducation.wharton.upenn.edu/oe_industry_specific.cfm or contact the Institute for Private Investors for updated program information.

Participants

The Private Wealth Management Program is for members and prospective members of the Institute for Private Investors, and alumni of the University of Pennsylvania and The Wharton School. Class size is limited to allow for open and in-depth interaction. Candidates are selected on their ability to both benefit from, and contribute to, the program. Each candidate must complete the nomination form.
